Gurnee Mudjacking

Before Gurnee Mudjacking

Take a look at this home in Gurnee, Illinois.

When homes are built, the basement walls, home itself, and garage are built first.  After the home is done, the concrete or asphalt gets put in. Sometimes the ground around a basement foundation is not compacted enough before the pavements are put on top.

The problem here is VERY common with both asphalt and concrete.  The driveway settles, but the garage floor stays put because its resting on a frost wall buried in the ground below the frost.

The bump in front of this garage door is not very big, but this driveway did not have much grade. Even though the driveway only fell about 1 inch, it was enough for the water to stand still. (See the faucet on the right side? Water dripping out had nowhere to run, causing a metal decoration to rust.)

After Gurnee Mudjacking

Mud Tech fixes this problem all the time. We can raise the concrete back into original position, or using our Infrared asphalt truck to add a new layer of hot mix asphalt to the driveway. We have worked on homes where the bump in front of the garage is more than 10 inches! The deepest we have measured was 16 inches! People make ramps out of anything they have laying around-- 2x4's, bricks, gravel.

But none of these solutions are as good as a Mud Tech mudjacking repair.
